## Goal

Identify the law selected to govern the agreement.

## Detection cues

Locate governed by, construed under and laws of wording.

## Review steps

1. Quote the selected jurisdiction exactly.
2. Check competing governing-law provisions and conflict-of-laws qualifiers.
3. Separate law selection from venue, forum and arbitration provisions.

## Risk signals

Flag conflicting selections or an unnamed jurisdiction without declaring a jurisdiction inherently risky.

## Required evidence

Quote the law-selection sentence and any conflicting selection.

## Recommendation rules

Recommend one clear selection when contradictions exist; refer suitability questions to legal counsel.

## Failure and uncertainty

Do not use a venue address as proof of governing law; absent selection remains a missing clause.
