Review guidelines

Who can review

Reviews come from people who installed the tool. Each review shows how its author was verified:

  • Verified install: you installed the listing with the Agent Mart CLI while logged in, in the last 90 days.
  • Verified GitHub: you signed in with a GitHub account that is older than 30 days and has at least one public repository.

One review per person per version of a listing. People who maintain a listing (its verified publisher) cannot review it; they can reply instead. Each account can post 5 reviews a day and 20 a week.

What a good review says

Which tool you installed it into, how long it took, whether it worked on the first try, and what the next person should know. Criticism is welcome when it describes what happened.

What we check

Every review goes through automatic checks before it appears: length, no more than two links, no text copied from other reviews, no slurs or profanity, and a language model that looks for spam, abuse, off-topic text and conflicts of interest. The model reads the review as data; it never decides alone to remove one.

Reviews from install-verified authors that pass every check appear right away. All others wait for a person, usually less than a day. If one listing suddenly gets many reviews from new accounts, we hold all of them and look at them together.

Publisher replies

The listing's verified publisher can post one reply under each review, labeled as theirs, and edit it for 24 hours. Replies follow the same rules as reviews.

When we remove a review

We remove reviews that are spam, abusive, about a different product, written by someone with a stake in the listing or a competitor, or that contain private information or exploit details (security problems go to the maintainer privately first). Anyone can report a review with the Report link under it. We never remove a review because it is negative.

Reviews and rank

Reviews never buy or change rank beyond the published formula.

Ratings are 15% of the rank score, through an average that starts every listing at a neutral value and needs at least 5 published reviews before it moves. Money never changes reviews, rank or grades. How we rank and grade
