# Document conversion

The included docs.py wrapper uses the separately installed anydoc package and converts common office formats, HTML, CSV, and PDF to Markdown. It creates a user-local virtual environment on first use and installs the pinned package version in the script.

Examples:

    python3 ~/.pi/agent/skills/docs/docs.py report.docx
    python3 ~/.pi/agent/skills/docs/docs.py table.csv --format csv
    python3 ~/.pi/agent/skills/docs/docs.py report.pdf -o /tmp/report.md
    python3 ~/.pi/agent/skills/docs/docs.py --doctor

Conversion is local after the package is installed. Installing the package contacts its package registry. Review the source file's sensitivity before conversion, keep temporary output private, and check conversion fidelity before relying on extracted values. Scanned documents may require a separate OCR tool.
