# Delegate a bounded task

Delegation is optional. First check whether the task contains private, regulated, credential-bearing, or otherwise restricted information. Do not send such data to a remote worker unless the user and applicable policy explicitly permit it. A local worker may still have access to files and tools; scope it narrowly.

A useful delegated task has:

- one clear outcome;
- only the context needed to produce it;
- explicit constraints and output format;
- a validation method that does not depend on trusting the worker's claim.

Use the configured worker name or model ID shown by the delegate tool. Do not assume the examples in this repository match your provider. Review output against source files and run the relevant checks before applying it.

For dependent work, use a sequential chain. Use bounded parallel workers only for independent tasks. Keep architectural, security, and irreversible decisions in the primary session unless the user explicitly authorizes another process.
