# Vote

The options are finished before the team sees them. Members vote first;
debate happens only when a member asks for it or the vote ties.

Works well for: judging between finished options.

## Run it

1. Lay out the options side by side, with the same facts for each. Do not
   say which one you prefer.
2. Each member votes alone and gives one line of reason.
3. Count. A clear majority decides. On a tie, or when a member asks, run
   one short debate round and vote again.
4. Report the count, the winning option, and the strongest reason given
   against it.

## Keep it honest

- Votes are blind until counted, so no member follows another.
- A vote picks among the options it was given. When none of them is good
  enough, say so instead of crowning the least bad.
- The decider on the receipt is the vote.
