# Boards & identity anchoring

The single biggest failure in AI film is the hero object shape-shifting
between shots. Boards exist to kill that before video credits move.

- Every shot gets a start-frame board (and end-frame where the video model
  supports pinning), generated as a STILL.
- Anchor identity: upload your reference images (official product refs, or
  your approved brand/packaging boards for invented brands) and use them
  as image references in every board generation.
- VIEW every board next to its anchors. Check: geometry, proportions,
  materials, colors, layout of controls/toppings/label. Reject drift.
- Stills are cheap — iterate freely here; this stage is where the film is
  won. Expanding the reference library is allowed and encouraged: new
  angles, environments, lighting studies, human characters — all on Nano
  Banana, all validated against the anchors. Where a generated reference
  disagrees with an official reference, the official one wins.
- Consecutive shots that must feel continuous should share anchors and
  lighting language across their boards.
- Video generation for a shot whose board is unapproved is forbidden.
