# Wayfinder

Plan an effort whose decisions span sessions. Establish the destination from the request and current evidence; ask about material ambiguity. Planning is the default. Carry implementation into the map only when explicitly requested.

- **Chart:** identify the decisions that can be stated now, their dependencies, and the areas that remain too uncertain to ticket. If the path is already clear, produce the smaller useful plan without requiring a map or a permission round.
- **Resume:** read the map and the selected or next unblocked decision. Load related ticket bodies only as needed. Resolve the decision, record the evidence, and update the frontier within the authorized local or tracker scope.

Read [map-format.md](map-format.md) when creating or updating a map. Keep each decision's detail in its ticket and the map as an index. Refer to linked titles rather than bare IDs. When multiple workers share a tracker, claim a ticket before working; use the tracker's supported claim operation only when authorized.

Use local Markdown unless a tracker workflow is configured and explicitly authorized. Tracker creation, assignment, commenting, closure, branch capture, and deletion remain subject to session scope. Preserve unresolved human decisions; an agent cannot supply the human side of an interview.

Use `research`, `prototype`, or `grilling` according to the decision's evidence needs. Stop at the agreed destination or requested session boundary; continue through independent decisions when authorized rather than imposing one ticket per session.
