# Project Documentation

Document behavior for teammates and future agents, not the implementation session.

## Workflow

1. Inspect existing `docs/`, domain vocabulary, ADRs, schemas, and affected code.
2. Identify the users, business outcome, entry point, lifecycle, and failure paths.
3. Update the smallest existing document that owns the concept; avoid duplicate docs.
4. Describe business rules with their implementation location and application flow.
5. Record relevant 1-1, 1-N, and N-N relationships.
6. Document complete A-to-Z flows with at least two realistic user examples when roles differ.
7. Verify every claim against code, tests, schema, or an explicit product decision.

Read [references/templates.md](references/templates.md) for compact structures.

## Invariants

- Write documentation in English unless the user explicitly requests another language.
- Use the project's domain terms consistently.
- Separate current behavior from proposed behavior.
- Link decisions to ADRs instead of repeating their rationale.
- Include edge cases, authorization, failure, retry, and recovery behavior when relevant.
- Never document guessed behavior as fact.
- Never include secrets, credentials, private endpoints, or personal data.

## Completion evidence

Report changed documents, verified sources, unresolved product decisions, and intentionally undocumented areas.
