# Mobile Development Rule

Use a physical Android device over wireless ADB unless the project or user requires an emulator. Reuse the existing development server, build for the connected device ABI, and preserve project-specific commands.

## Workflow

1. Inspect the project scripts and mobile framework.
2. Confirm the target physical device and wireless ADB endpoint with the user.
3. Load only the reference needed for the current operation:
   - Initial pairing or reconnect: [device-connection.md](references/device-connection.md)
   - ABI-specific build and install: [build-install.md](references/build-install.md)
   - Development server and hot reload: [hot-reload.md](references/hot-reload.md)
   - Connection or app recovery: [recovery.md](references/recovery.md)
4. Run the smallest relevant verification.
5. Record project-specific setup, install, reload, and recovery commands under `docs/` when the workflow changes.

## Safety

- Never log device credentials, tokens, or private network details in committed documentation.
- Do not start duplicate development servers or change ports without a project need.
- Do not create a universal APK unless distribution or multi-device testing requires it.
- Do not rebuild first when the device disconnects; restore the connection path before changing code or build output.
