# Design System (Light) A website-scale token set — not a full component library. **Tokens first.** ## Process ### 1. Load Read `DIRECTION.md`, `BRAND.md`, stack notes in `docs/agents/stack.md`. Detect existing token/CSS/tailwind config. ### 2. Propose tokens Cover at minimum: - Color (semantic roles) - Typography (families, sizes/scale, line-height) - Space scale - Radius - Shadow (only if direction needs it — default sparse) - Motion (durations/easing for the 2–3 moments) - Breakpoints (align with responsive-pass) Prefer extending an existing system over adding a second one. Confirm the proposal with the user before writing. ### 3. Write TOKENS.md + code Use [template.md](./template.md). If the repo has a natural home for CSS variables, update or create that file to match — single source: docs describe, code implements. **Completion criterion:** every token in TOKENS.md exists in code (or an explicit "docs-only until implement" note for greenfield with no styles yet); no orphan magic numbers called out as "should be tokens" in direction leftovers. ### 4. Next `/page-spec` for the tracer page, or `/ui-prototype` if variants are still needed.
