# Instrument

**Tracking plan** first, code second. Growth without events is theater.

## Process

### 1. Load

`BRIEF.md` (success metrics), `IA.md` (primary CTA), `docs/agents/analytics.md`, existing analytics code.

### 2. Draft TRACKING.md

Use [template.md](./template.md). Cover:

- Provider + where it lives
- Funnel steps from landing → primary success action
- Event names (stable, verb_noun), properties, where fired
- What is explicitly **not** tracked yet

Confirm with the user before implementing.

### 3. Implement

Add only the events in the plan. Match provider conventions already in the repo. Prefer one wrapper module over sprinkled raw calls.

### 4. Verify

Trigger each event once in dev (or document the exact click path). **Completion criterion:** every planned event has a fire site and a verification note; TRACKING.md matches code.
