# Playwright Web App QA

Use this when a web app needs proof that real user paths work.

## Workflow

1. Define critical paths: landing page, signup/login, dashboard, forms, file upload, settings, and logout.
2. Launch a fresh browser context.
3. Capture console errors and failed network requests.
4. Exercise each path with test data only.
5. Verify visible UI state, not just API status.
6. Save screenshots for failed paths.
7. Report exact pass/fail evidence.

## Pitfalls

- A successful API call does not prove the UI updated.
- Mobile layout needs its own viewport test.
- File upload must verify backend ownership and frontend display.
- Never test with real customer accounts.

## Verification

- No uncaught JavaScript errors.
- Critical buttons perform visible actions.
- Forms validate correctly.
- Screenshots match expected state.
