# OSS Grant Readiness Use this when preparing a repository for an open-source support program, maintainer benefit, or grant application. ## Workflow 1. Verify the repository is public and has a clear description. 2. Confirm `LICENSE`, `README.md`, `CONTRIBUTING.md`, `SECURITY.md`, `CHANGELOG.md`, and `ROADMAP.md` exist. 3. Add GitHub Actions CI and make sure the latest run passes. 4. Create at least one release with clear release notes. 5. Open real roadmap issues that describe maintainable future work. 6. Prepare a truthful maintainer narrative. ## Truthfulness rules - Do not invent stars, users, downloads, or adoption. - If the repository is early, say it is early. - Explain how support improves public maintainer work: tests, CI, releases, docs, issue triage, and security. ## Verification - `git diff --check` - local validation command passes - latest CI run is green - release URL works
