# HUD Skill (Codex Native)

This skill manages HUD behavior for Codex runtime sessions without writing to `~/.superskills-codex/**`.

## Primary Actions

- Show one-shot HUD summary:
```bash
superskills hud --once --json
```
- Run runtime status probe:
```bash
superskills codex bridge-status --json
```

## Validation Checklist

1. HUD output should include `[Skills]` branding.
2. Session state should resolve under project `.superskills-codex/` and/or `$CODEX_HOME`.
3. No writes should occur under legacy HUD locations (for example `~/.superskills-codex/hud` overrides from legacy plugins) or unmanaged global config files.

## If HUD Looks Stale

```bash
superskills codex cleanup --session-max-age-minutes 5 --statuses running,paused
superskills hud --once --json
```

## Reporting Format

When summarizing HUD health, include:
- active mode/session status
- dispatch source
- usage/context metrics availability
- any recommended cleanup action

Use Codex-safe paths and avoid legacy Codex plugin setup instructions.
