# PowerPoint Workflow

## Before creating a presentation

Identify:

- Purpose
- Audience
- Number of slides
- Main message
- Supporting information
- Visual style and color scheme
- Branding requirements
- Call to action

## Existing presentations and templates

Before building a deck from scratch, check whether an existing presentation or a template should be reused.

Prefer adapting a template when the user wants a specific visual identity.

## Creation

When creating a new presentation:

1. Create the presentation (from scratch, a topic, or a template).
2. Establish the slide structure.
3. Add slides with appropriate layouts.
4. Add content: titles, bullets, charts, tables, images.
5. Apply a consistent theme and branding.
6. Review spacing, hierarchy, and readability.
7. Save the `.pptx` file.

## Editing

When editing an existing presentation:

- Preserve the existing visual identity unless instructed otherwise.
- Change only the requested elements when possible.
- Do not remove important slides without confirmation.

## Export

Save to `.pptx` by default. Only export to other formats when the user requests it or the workflow requires it.

## Important

Do not claim a presentation was created, edited, saved, or exported unless the PowerPoint MCP tool confirms the operation.
