# Canva Workflow

## Before creating a design

Identify:

- Purpose
- Audience
- Platform
- Dimensions
- Main message
- Supporting information
- Branding requirements
- Call to action

## Existing designs

Before creating a completely new design, search Canva for relevant existing designs when appropriate.

Prefer adapting an existing design when the user asks for a variation of an existing visual identity.

## Creation

When creating a new design:

1. Select the appropriate design format.
2. Establish the visual hierarchy.
3. Add the required content.
4. Apply branding.
5. Review spacing and readability.
6. Review the final composition.

## Editing

When editing an existing design:

- Preserve the existing visual identity unless instructed otherwise.
- Change only the requested elements when possible.
- Do not remove important elements without confirmation.

## Export

Only export when the user requests an export or when the workflow explicitly requires it.
