# Adapter: Vercel

## Focus

- Environment variable hygiene by environment.
- Deployment safety and rollback awareness.
- Alerting and runtime observability basics.

## Starter Checklist

- [ ] Environment requirements are documented.
- [ ] Production-impacting changes are explicit.
- [ ] Alerting/monitoring implications are considered.
- [ ] Build/runtime assumptions match Vercel deployment model.

## Implementation Pattern

Evidence: 2-repo field extraction — see `.ai/MERGE_REPORT.md`.

- Treat Vercel as the default deployment target and wire platform-native features (Analytics,
Speed Insights, cache headers tuned for Vercel's CDN) directly, rather than building
  generic-host abstractions "just in case."
- Keep runtime config environment-driven (site URL, feature flags, secrets); never hardcode
localhost or a single environment's URL as a fallback used across environments.

If the current project already has an established pattern for either of these, follow the
existing pattern instead of this default.
