# Lobsters Discourse

## Why Lobsters

Invite-only community of practitioners. Smaller volume than HN but higher average comment quality on programming languages, systems software, and dev tooling. Worth a pass for technical evaluations.

## Lookup approach (stub)

- Site search: `https://lobste.rs/search?q=<term>`
- Filter by tag for topic-specific surfaces (e.g. `tag:rust`, `tag:databases`)
- Read the threaded comments, not just the post
