# project-standards-capture

Purpose: capture project-specific standards that should live in `.mastermind`, not in neutral `.github`.

## Use When

- Language rules differ from repository to repository.
- Coding standards need explicit user approval.
- Architecture and testing policy must be confirmed before bootstrap continues.

## Topics To Confirm With The User

1. Active languages and which ones are first-class in the repo.
2. Architecture rules per stack.
3. UI, API, and backend coding conventions.
4. Testing expectations and minimum coverage policy.
5. Naming, folder structure, and domain split rules.
6. Rules that must stay neutral vs rules that are repository-specific.

## Expected Outputs

- Repository-specific standards recorded under `.mastermind`.
- Clear distinction between inferred standards and user-approved standards.
- A short unresolved list if the user has not yet confirmed some rules.

## Guardrails

- Prefer asking over guessing.
- Store project-specific conventions outside `.github`.
- Keep standards concise and operational.
