# copilot-premium-usage-capture

Goal: consistently log premium usage despite limited access to local data.

## When to use

- When you want to log premium requests/tokens percentage
- When automatic read from local logs is unavailable
- When a consistent metrics fallback is needed

## Source-of-truth rule

Priority:

1. Data from Copilot panel (UI)
2. Data from API/export (if available)
3. Manual percent fallback

## Mapping to logger

- Have only requests percent: `-PremiumRequestsUsagePercent <x>`
- Have requests used+budget: `-PremiumRequestsUsed <x> -MonthlyPremiumRequestsBudget <y>`
- Have only tokens percent: `-PremiumUsagePercent <x>`
- Have tokens month-to-date+budget: `-PremiumTokensMonthToDate <x> -MonthlyPremiumTokenBudget <y>`

## Quality rules

1. Do not infer monthly budget without data.
2. Do not mix requests and tokens in one indicator.
3. If data is uncertain, log percent and add a note in `skill_rejection_notes`/`next_improvement`.
