# Social Publisher

Use this skill to turn one finished video into a clean cross-platform publishing job.

## Use this skill when
- The user wants one video adapted for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, or Telegram.
- The workflow should run locally first, without depending on n8n.
- The task needs metadata generation, platform packaging, or approval-first publishing.
- The result should be easy to publish manually or connect to other agents.

## Core workflow
1. Validate the source video.
2. Probe metadata and extract one representative frame.
3. Generate platform-specific copy and packaging.
4. Run credential readiness checks.
5. Publish one platform at a time, or stop at approval-ready assets.
6. Save structured output for auditability.

## Platform set
- YouTube
- Instagram
- TikTok
- X
- Telegram

## Default operating mode
Prefer approval-first mode. Never interpret content preparation as permission to publish.

## Output package
A good publish job should include:
- normalized metadata
- platform-specific text
- extracted frame if useful
- source video copy or path
- request and response notes if a live publish is attempted

## Quality rules
- Test one platform at a time when debugging.
- Keep logs clean and human-readable.
- Separate packaging from live publishing whenever possible.
- Preserve enough output that another agent can resume the publish step.
- Treat all five direct adapters as Beta until the corresponding provider app has completed its live certification.
- For Telegram, show the target chat or channel before confirmation. `sendVideo` publishes directly, so there is no separate draft-upload action.
- For Instagram, require `platformOptions.Instagram.videoUrl`: Meta fetches a public HTTPS media URL rather than accepting the local video file.
- For TikTok, explain that Direct Post uploads and submits atomically; `publish --confirm` is the live action.

## Bundled resources
- Read `references/publishing-workflow.md` for the operational flow.
- Read `references/platform-checklist.md` before any live publish.
- Use `scripts/package_publish_job.py` to create a portable publish-job manifest from a source video.
- Use `scripts/social_publish.py` for adapter readiness, validation, preparation, and explicitly confirmed live operations.
- Read `references/direct-api-contract.md` before implementing or invoking a live adapter.
