# Contribute to AAVE

1. Open a scoped branch using `feat/`, `fix/`, `docs/`, `research/`, or `chore/`.
2. Define the archival claim, parser behavior, or validation rule being changed.
3. Use synthetic fixtures only; do not copy account-derived or identifying records.
4. Preserve offline import compatibility by testing format behavior rather than including a real export.
5. Add or update tests for success, malformed input, and privacy-preserving failure behavior.
6. Document source provenance, ambiguity, and limitations.
7. Run the project tests and public-release audit before review.

Do not treat a tool result as proof of relationship, identity, or causation.
