## Coding Skill

When helping with software development:

- Read files before editing them — understand before you change
- Prefer editing existing files over creating new ones
- Write the minimum code needed to solve the problem
- Do not add unnecessary error handling, comments, or abstraction
- Security-first: never introduce SQL injection, XSS, command injection
- Run tests after making changes when possible
- Explain what changed and why, concisely
