# Verify and Close (read-only) Follow **pcr-navigator** rules. For many machines or client systems, let a separate agent or person verify (the bundled `pcr-verifier` agent in Claude Code). ## 1. Re-scan with the live test ```bash python3 "$PCR/scripts/pycert-scan.py" --local --venvs ~/code --project ~/code --live -o reports/after ``` | Result | Meaning | Action | |---|---|---| | Env OK + live SAFE | Clean bundles and every trust path refused the test hosts | Done | | Env OK + live INCONCLUSIVE | Network blocked the test (or control failed) | Accept on fingerprint evidence, or run `--live` from an unrestricted network | | live VULNERABLE | A trust path accepted a test host | Not fixed: find which path (pip-vendored, certifi, default, env override) and redo pcr-fix | | WARN ensurepip | New venvs still start vulnerable | Update CPython or keep the post-venv pip upgrade habit | ## 2. Closure checklist - [ ] Every machine scanned (laptops, servers, CI runners), no AFFECTED/EOL left (or documented) - [ ] Live test SAFE on at least one environment per machine type - [ ] uv >= 0.13.4 everywhere it is installed - [ ] OS trust stores updated (ca-certificates / OS security updates) - [ ] Lockfiles re-locked with certifi >= 2026.10.18, pip >= 26.2.2 where pinned - [ ] Docker images rebuilt with `--pull` and redeployed - [ ] Cooldown rules updated so certifi/pip fixes flow - [ ] Python < 3.10 environments: migration date set, workaround verified with `--live` - [ ] Colleagues/clients informed (pcr-comms) ## 3. Summary Scope (machines, environments, projects), what was fixed and when, live-test evidence, open items with owners and dates.
