# Test Strategy

Choose tests by risk:

- Pure docs: link/check formatting and sanitizer scan.
- Utility code: unit tests and type/lint checks.
- API behavior: unit tests, contract tests, and negative input tests.
- UI: component tests, browser smoke, accessibility checks.
- Data/schema: migration rehearsal, rollback, and compatibility tests.
- Deploy/release: smoke plan, rollback evidence, and monitoring checks.

Do not run the whole suite by habit if a focused gate proves the touched
surface. Do run broader gates before release.
