Use for concrete engineering requests such as "implement this", "add support for", "build", "fix this bug", "debug this failure", "refactor", "simplify this implementation", or "review this diff/code"; also "proceed", "go ahead", "do it", or "finish this" when context authorizes engineering execution. Works from direct requests, conversation, or optional task/plan files; no task file or separate planning phase is required. Match intent, not keywords: "should we implement this?" is planning, not execution. Not for explanation-only requests, exploratory planning, plan review, or documentation-only maintenance. Defaults to Quick: focused, correct execution with sufficient verification. "Engineering deep", "investigate thoroughly", or "deep code review" requests Deep; concrete risk or uncertainty can also justify it.
