# /telegram-notify:disable

Run exactly:

```bash
rm -f ~/.claude/notify-on
```

Then check the mode before confirming:
`grep '^NOTIFY_WHEN=' ~/.claude/telegram-notify.env 2>/dev/null`. If it's absent or
`"manual"`, confirm in one line: pings are **OFF** until `/telegram-notify:enable`.
If it's `"auto"` or `"always"`, say pings still continue per that mode and offer the
hard mute (`touch ~/.claude/notify-off`) or editing the config. Nothing about the
running task changes either way.
