How to install in Codex

codex mcp add <name> -- npx -y <package>
codex mcp add <name> --url <https://server-url>

Where it goes: ~/.codex/config.toml, under [mcp_servers.<name>] (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project).

Codex runs local (stdio) servers and connects to remote streamable HTTP servers (url, with OAuth or a bearer token). codex mcp login <name> signs in to an OAuth server. codex mcp add has no scope flag and writes ~/.codex/config.toml. In the desktop app select Restart after saving; check with codex mcp list or /mcp.
