# Build Loop

This is the only public Codex entrypoint. Route the user's plain-language goal
through the canonical workflow without asking them to choose a mode or helper.

Load and follow the canonical workflow:

```text
../../skills/build-loop/SKILL.md
```

On Codex, `CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT` may be unset. Resolve the plugin root as the
directory two levels above this loaded `SKILL.md`, then substitute that
absolute path for `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}` in canonical shell examples. Do not
run those examples with an empty variable; that silently points at `/scripts`.

For visible text or layout changes, use the canonical workflow's UI Container
Contract: measure the real parent, plan a constrained content case, and inspect
the rendered screenshot before claiming fit.

Use internal helper skills only through that workflow. Read their files
directly from `../../skills/` when the canonical workflow asks for them.

Pointers written as `references/<name>.md` inside `skills/build-loop/SKILL.md`
resolve relative to `skills/build-loop/` — read them at
`../../skills/build-loop/references/<name>.md`, falling back to the repo-root
`../../references/<name>.md` when the skill's own directory has no such file.

Confirmed findings within the authorized goal proceed automatically through repair and verification under the canonical workflow's Confirmed issues auto-repair rule. Do not stop at diagnosis or offer to fix it later. Explicit read-only/stop instructions still prevail.

## Completion gate

Before declaring a Codex Build Loop run complete:

- Integrate every validated run commit into the intended local target branch and
  rerun the canonical verifier on that exact target state.
- For every run-created branch or worktree that has been merged, load
  `../../references/phase-d-closeout.md` and close it with `collapse_run.py`
  using `--strict --merged-only --owner-released`.
- Require `strict_success: true`, `bundle_verified: true`, `errors: []`, an
  absent worktree path, and an absent temporary branch ref before saying
  "done."
- Report the run as partial when any branch or worktree remains open without an
  explicit retained disposition.
