# SDLC Task - Onboard

- Read and use the reference architectures to determine the best component hierarchy for the project.
- For existing projects, use the `papi-sdlc-assimilate` skill.

## Dependencies

Reading these skills is REQUIRED to understand and execute this skill:

- PAPI skill `papi-sdlc-understand`
- PAPI skill `papi-tasks-understand`

Read these as needed:

- PAPI skill `papi-sdlc-assimilate`
- PAPI skill `papi-sdlc-charter`

## Charter

A new project should have a Charter — the highest-level document
saying why the project exists, where it is going, and how it intends
to get there. Use the `papi-sdlc-charter` skill to create one as part
of onboarding. For an existing project being assimilated into PAPI,
the Charter can be drafted from what already exists (READMEs, vision
docs, mission statements) and refined with the user.

## Tasks

Make sure the top-level project task exists.
Probably a release task is needed as well once the project is underway, which
might initially be an MVP release.

## Skill artefacts
