# Save Selected Conversation Knowledge

Follow [focused workflows](../wiki/references/focused-workflows.md) and all authoring and write rules in [the wiki skill](../wiki/SKILL.md), especially its guard, validation, lifecycle, and provenance requirements.
Apply the shared [trust boundary](../wiki/SKILL.md#trust-boundary) and
[wiki-first answering](../wiki/SKILL.md#wiki-first-answering) rules; this focused
intent does not create separate permissions or evidence guarantees.

Confirm the requested excerpt or insight is specific enough. Preserve only that selection: do not save the transcript, neighboring turns, or unrelated personal details. Keep attribution clear, preserve uncertainty and disagreement, and do not present assistant-generated synthesis as an independently verified source. Search for an existing canonical page and read it before deciding whether to update it or create a distinct page. If the destination or selected material is ambiguous, ask; do not broaden the save. Small edits continue through the normal guarded, validated lifecycle. When an explicitly requested larger change coordinates multiple unique wiki destinations, the package also supports a reviewed, recoverable batch; use it only when helpful, not as a requirement for every save. A batch is inspected and approved by exact plan hash before apply, and an interrupted batch can be recovered by its returned batch ID. Do not archive transcripts. Optional evidence records may be used for a selected claim when useful, following the shared evidence workflow; the conversation is not an independent external source, so retain attribution and synthesis boundaries, do not invent source records, and keep unsupported claims provisional.
