# Agentic Core: Memory Stitching Use this skill to design memory as layered stores plus retrieval logic. ## Principles 1. Keep transcript ephemeral; persist only validated artifacts. 2. Use index/pointers for retrieval instead of raw history stuffing. 3. Apply compaction and freshness checks to prevent drift. ## Memory layers - turn memory (ephemeral) - session working memory (short-lived) - durable facts/artifacts (verified) - retrieval index (pointers/metadata) ## Write policy 1. Candidate memory is proposed. 2. Evidence quality is checked. 3. Conflict detection runs. 4. If unresolved, mark `Unknown` and do not promote to durable fact. ## Required output format 1. **Memory Layer Design** 2. **Index Strategy** 3. **Write/Promotion Policy** 4. **Conflict Resolution Rules** 5. **Compaction and Aging Policy** ## Guardrails - never auto-upgrade uncertain claims into durable facts. - include provenance metadata for each durable memory record.
