# Optix Token Toggle

Use this skill when the user wants to change the Optix MCP token for Codex.

## Inputs
- `new_token` (required)
- `server_name` (optional, default `optix`)

## Execution
Always use the bundled script instead of ad-hoc shell substitution:

```bash
python3 /Users/rauloptix/OptixHelp/optix-graphql-mcp/skills/codex-token-toggle/update_optix_token.py YOUR_NEW_TOKEN
```

Optional server override:

```bash
python3 /Users/rauloptix/OptixHelp/optix-graphql-mcp/skills/codex-token-toggle/update_optix_token.py YOUR_NEW_TOKEN --server-name optix
```

## Primary target
Update `~/.codex/config.toml` in this block:

```toml
[mcp_servers.optix]
args = ["/Users/rauloptix/OptixHelp/optix-graphql-mcp/dist/index.js"]
command = "node"
enabled = true
[mcp_servers.optix.env]
ALLOW_MUTATIONS = "false"
ENDPOINT = "https://api.optixapp.com/graphql"
HEADERS = '{"Authorization":"Bearer YOUR_NEW_TOKEN"}'
```

## Required behavior
1. Run `update_optix_token.py` with the requested token.
2. Read `~/.codex/config.toml` and locate `[mcp_servers.<server_name>.env]`.
3. Replace only the token after `Bearer ` inside `HEADERS`.
4. Do not change `ENDPOINT`, `ALLOW_MUTATIONS`, `command`, `args`, `enabled`, or any other server block.
5. Re-read the file and verify the updated `HEADERS` line is present.
6. Report masked before/after tokens using first 6 and last 4 characters only.
7. Do not use one-line shell regex replacements unless the bundled script is unavailable.

## Fallback
If the server block is missing from `~/.codex/config.toml`, scan these files for the active Optix MCP config:
- `~/.codex/*.toml`
- `~/.codex/**/config*.toml`
- `~/.codex/**/toggle*.toml`

If multiple candidate files contain conflicting active Optix config, stop and ask which file is authoritative.

## Guardrails
- Do not print the full token in chat.
- Do not modify non-Optix MCP server blocks unless explicitly asked.
- Do not rewrite the whole config if a single token substitution is enough.
- If the user wants the MCP restored after uninstall, recreate the exact block above and only swap `YOUR_NEW_TOKEN`.
