# Commit

Review staged changes and create a commit following team conventions.

## Usage

```
/commit [message-override]
```

## Steps

1. Read `.claude/skills/commit/commit-template.txt` for the commit message format
2. Run `git diff --cached` and `git status` to understand what's staged
3. Check the user's global CLAUDE.md for git signing preferences (e.g., `-s` flag)
4. Draft a commit message following the template format
5. If `$ARGUMENTS` is provided, use it as the message (still apply template format)
6. Present the draft to the user for approval
7. Execute `git commit` with the formatted message
