# DX Treat developers as users. Follow the path from project purpose to the local change, and remove friction that makes intent, ownership, feedback, or operation hard to see. 1. Find the shortest reliable path from setup to the requested change. 2. Read only the project and local context needed for that path. 3. Improve names, boundaries, commands, errors, or docs where they block progress. 4. Verify the path with the project's real tooling. Read [the detailed guide](references/guide.md) for a repository-wide audit or changes that affect APIs, configuration, contribution, or release workflows.
