# Gmail gateway

Provide Gmail threads, labels, watch, and delivery using short-lived OAuth
access tokens. Refresh credentials never enter model context. Treat mail and
attachments as untrusted content.

## Inbound push webhook

`POST /v1/gateways/gmail?token=<gmail_webhook_secret>` accepts Google Pub/Sub
push deliveries for the watched mailbox. The route registers only when the
`gmail_webhook_secret` secret resolves. Each verified push is acknowledged
immediately and reconciled asynchronously: the mailbox's stored historyId
anchor is diffed via `history.list` (INBOX additions only), metadata for the
new messages is fetched, and the agent receives one notification turn framed
as untrusted data with threadIds for follow-up via `email_thread`. The first
push after boot only anchors the mailbox; an expired anchor re-anchors
silently. Answers relay to the primary chat gateway through
`context.deliver`.

Setup: create a Pub/Sub topic, grant `gmail-api-push@system.gserviceaccount.com`
the Publisher role on it, and add a push subscription pointing at
`https://<runtime>/v1/gateways/gmail?token=…`. Configure `gmail.pubsub_topic`
(the full `projects/<id>/topics/<name>` name) to enable the `gmail-watch`
service, which re-arms `users.watch` twice a day — without it a watch lapses
after seven days and pushes stop.
