# Show MR guardian status

Run:

Configuration is read from `settings.json` in the plugin data directory (written by `/gitlab-mr-guardian:setup`). If the output reports a missing hostname, direct the user to run `/gitlab-mr-guardian:setup <hostname>` first.

This command is read-only. Summarize the JSON output by MR and highlight CI failures, conflicts, lost approvals, and configuration errors. Do not rebase, retry CI, resolve discussions, or merge anything.

The `CHECK_COMPLETE` output also carries a `monitor` block describing the background Monitor rather than this check: `monitor.enabled` is the persistent start/stop switch, and `monitor.last_cycle` is the snapshot the Monitor wrote on its own most recent polling cycle (`cycle` counter, `at` timestamp, `scanned`/`managed` counts). Use it when the user asks whether polling is alive or when it last ran. A `null` `last_cycle` with `enabled: true` means the Monitor has not completed a cycle yet — typically it was just started, or the running Monitor predates this feature and the session needs a restart.
