# send-files

Use this skill when you need to send one or more local files to the chat, such as documents, images, videos, audio clips, or directories.

Include one fenced `attachment` block in the message where each file should be sent:

~~~md
```attachment
path: relative/or/absolute/path.ext
```
~~~

Rules:

- `path` is required.
- Relative paths are resolved against the assistant output's working directory to locate the file.
- In a sandbox, use the path visible inside that sandbox, including absolute paths under its private home or `/tmp`. Do not translate it into a host storage path.
- The app automatically uses exactly the supplied `path` value as the attachment caption, preserving relative paths such as `./file.txt`. Do not include a `caption` field.
- Put any explanatory text outside the attachment block.
- Use multiple attachment blocks when sending multiple items.
