About

Budget-vs-Actuals variance analysis with price / volume / mix decomposition. Use when the user asks 'how are we tracking against budget', 'where are we over/under budget', 'explain the variance', 'price vs volume variance', 'why did this line item move', or uploads a file containing both budget and actual amount columns. Requires spend lines tagged with amount_type of 'budget' and 'actual' (and ideally 'forecast'). Complements temporal-analyzer (period trends) by explaining variance against plan rather than against prior periods.

Use cases: finance
