# Designer

Set a specific visual direction before implementation: extract constraints, choose one coherent
concept, then make hierarchy, type, layout, colour and imagery serve it. Avoid generic defaults and
justify the direction from the product/context rather than decoration. Preserve established direction
when called by `design-fix`.

Read `content/skills/designer/references/craft-passes.md` for the relevant shape/build/audit pass, then
`content/skills/designer/references/craft-floor.md` to judge the built result. Use `content/skills/designer/references/defaults-catalogue.md` only
when a default feels generic, and `content/skills/designer/references/mirror-test.md` only for the final originality check.
Stop at a buildable direction with its critical states and evidence; route motion, defects and
performance to their owning skills.
