# Anti-Slop Writing & Craft Directive (Master Edition)

A unified system for producing **human-crafted text, interfaces, and code documentation** that completely eliminates statistically detectable "AI Slop" patterns while preserving authenticity, clarity, and personality.

Combined from **`anti-ai-slop-writing`** (Human Writing Directives & Syntax Rhythm) and **`anti-slop`** (UI, Copywriting, Code Comments & Accessibility Filters).

---

## 1. Writing & Copywriting Directives (Text / Content)

### A. The Core Writing Constraint
Before writing or rewriting any text (articles, copy, tweets, emails, docs, captions, landing pages):
- **Never use words from the Banned List** (see `references/banned-words.md`).
- **Never invent facts, numbers, or quotes** to sound convincing. Use real data or state the point simply.
- **Never sound like a corporate cheerleading bot.** Write like a practitioner who knows the real, gritty details.

### B. Structural & Rhythm Rules (Burstiness)
1. **No "Rule of Three":** AI models default to groupings of three adjectives or points. Break it: use 1, 2, 4, or 5 items.
2. **Dynamic Sentence Length:** Never write three consecutive sentences of similar length. Mix ultra-short 3-word punchy sentences with nuanced 25-word compound thoughts. This is the #1 signal human readers and AI detectors look for.
3. **No Parataxis (Staccato AI Rhythm):** Avoid repetitive sequences of blunt micro-sentences (*"Short sentence. Then another. Then another."*). Connect related ideas using subordinate clauses, semicolons, commas, and conjunctions.
4. **No Hedging Seesaw:** Stop constantly balancing every statement (*"While X has benefits, it's crucial to remember that Y also poses challenges..."*). Take a clear stance.
5. **No Cliché Paragraph Templates:** Break the standard `[Topic Sentence] -> [Elaboration] -> [Example] -> [Transition]` template. Start some paragraphs with direct questions, some with raw data, and let some conclude abruptly.
6. **No "As a [Role], I..." Openers:** Get straight to the value without announcing credentials.
7. **Active Voice Over Passive Slop:** Write direct, punchy sentences instead of passive filler (*"The team shipped the update"* instead of *"The update was successfully deployed by the engineering department"*).

### C. Punctuation & Typography Discipline
- **Em Dashes (`—`):** Max **ONE** per 500 words. (Overusing em dashes is the single biggest dead giveaway of LLM writing).
- **Exclamation Marks (`!`):** Max **ONE** per 1,000 words. Let word choice convey enthusiasm.
- **Semicolons (`;`):** Use them naturally to connect closely related independent clauses.
- **Ellipses (`...`):** Only when something is genuinely trailing off, never as a stylish transition.

## 2. Banned Vocabulary & AI Tropes Quick-List

Consult `references/banned-words.md` for the full dictionary. Never output:

| Category | Banned AI Words / Phrases (EN & ID) | Natural Human Alternative |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| **Overused AI Verbs** | delve, elevate, empower, streamline, unlock, leverage, foster, spearhead, harness | explore, use, build, help, speed up, run |
| **Fluff & Fillers** | tapestry, landscape (abstract), testament to, vibrant, pivotal, multifaceted, nuanced | context, system, proof, lively, key, varied |
| **Buzzwords** | cutting-edge, game-changer, seamless, revolutionary, transformative, robust | fast, reliable, modern, well-built |
| **Chatbot Signoffs** | "I hope this helps!", "Let me know if you need anything else!", "In conclusion..." | State the next action directly or stop cleanly. |
| **Indonesian Slop** | "Di era digital yang serba cepat ini...", "Menyelami lebih dalam...", "Sebuah bukti nyata...", "Tidak hanya X, tetapi juga Y..." | Langsung ke inti bahasan tanpa basa-basi klise. |

## 3. UI & Frontend Craft Directives (Web / App Design)

When designing or coding user interfaces (HTML, React, Vue, Blade, Tailwind, CSS):

1. **The Purpose Test:** Every visual element (gradient, shadow, badge, glassmorphism, border) must serve a specific functional hierarchy or readability goal. Reject decoration that exists only because "it looks like modern AI UI".
2. **No Cookie-Cutter SaaS Slop:**
   - Avoid the default *indigo/purple gradient + floating cards + centered hero + generic 3-column pricing grid* unless specifically requested with purpose.
   - Ground layouts with strong typography, deliberate contrast, and intentional white space.
3. **Craft Over Generic Templates:**
   - Use meaningful visual rhythm (varying card densities, asymmetrical features, clear focal points).
   - Ensure interactive states (hover, focus-visible, active, disabled) are distinct and responsive.
4. **Mobile & Accessibility First:**
   - Minimum tap target of 44x44px for interactive elements.
   - Text contrast ratio must pass WCAG AA (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
   - Never remove keyboard focus rings without providing a better custom `:focus-visible` state.

---

## 4. Code & Architecture Documentation Directives

When writing code comments or markdown documentation:
1. **Zero Obvious Comments:** Never write comments explaining *what* basic syntax does (e.g., `// loop through items` or `// function to calculate total`).
2. **Document the "Why" and Edge Cases:** Only document non-obvious business logic, architectural trade-offs, security invariants, or external API quirks.
3. **Concise PRDs & Technical Notes:** Keep technical explanations structured, modular, and free of introductory padding.

---

## 5. Reference Library

The complete deep-dive documentation is available in the `references/` directory:
- `references/banned-words.md`: Full comprehensive banned words and phrases across English & Indonesian.
- `references/antislop-core.md`: Complete antislop core rules (R-01 to R-40).
