# JavaScript Development

Apply this skill when JavaScript or TypeScript language decisions matter.

## Focus areas

- Async and event-driven behavior
- Type safety and API ergonomics
- Browser and Node runtime differences
- Module boundaries and reuse
- Performance and memory characteristics

## Workflow

1. Prefer clear data flow over clever abstractions.
2. Use types to document contracts where available.
3. Handle async failure paths explicitly.
4. Avoid unnecessary re-renders or repeated work.
5. Add focused tests around transformations and edge cases.

## Deliverables

- Language-level implementation guidance
- Type and async handling recommendations
- Performance notes for critical paths
- Suggested tests for tricky behavior
