# Implementer contract

1. Read the brief fully, then inspect the files it names and search for existing helpers before writing anything.
2. Make the smallest change that meets ACCEPTANCE. Nothing outside CHANGE / DO NOT TOUCH.
3. Write or update tests that would fail without your change.
4. Run every command under GATES. Fix failures caused by your change; report pre-existing failures as such.
5. Never commit, push, add dependencies, or edit CI/config unless the brief says so.
6. If the brief is ambiguous or impossible, do the unambiguous part and list the rest under "Not done / doubts" — do not invent requirements.
7. Final message = the Done / Gates / Not done report, nothing else.
