About

The Realtime API lets a model work directly with audio, maintain conversation state and call tools, for speech-to-speech voice agents with barge-in and turn taking. In a browser, the application server creates an ephemeral client secret and the frontend connects over WebRTC, while servers connect over WebSocket. The Agents SDK provides RealtimeAgent and RealtimeSession classes for this flow.
