About

Pi is a minimal agent harness meant to be adapted through extensions, skills, prompt templates and themes, which can be shared as packages via npm or git. The monorepo splits into packages including pi-ai for a unified multi-provider LLM API, pi-agent-core for the agent runtime with tool calling and state management, a coding agent CLI, a terminal UI library and telemetry contracts. It can be used interactively, in print or JSON mode, over RPC or through a TypeScript SDK. It ships without sub-agents or plan mode and has no built-in permission system.
