  • describe_saved_query

    Read a saved query's SQL, parameters, tags, source metadata and file path without executing it.

  • describe_table

    Column names, types and nullability for one table.

  • exec_sql

    Execute SQL (or a redis command) against a database and get a structured result {columns, rows, rowCount, truncated, elapsedMs}. READ-ONLY by default: writes/DDL fail with code 8 unless you pass write=true AND the server was started with --write; a configured production connection additionally requires confirm_prod=true. SELECTs without LIMIT get an automatic LIMIT (max_rows, default 500).

  • list_connections

    List all configured database connections, grouped into project folders and env-sets (same logical db across dev/prod/...). Start here to learn which `db` keys exist.

  • list_saved_queries

    List the workspace's saved named queries (name, target db, params).

  • list_tables

    List tables of a database (or keys for a redis connection).

  • ping_connection

    Probe one configured connection using SELECT 1 / Redis PING / openCypher RETURN 1. Returns ok, elapsed_ms and a sanitized failure category. Does not run saved SQL or change configuration. Timeout bounds connection setup and probe execution separately, not total wall time.

  • run_saved_query

    Run a saved named query by name, with `params` as {name: value}.

  • save_query

    Save SQL to a workspace query file WITHOUT executing or validating SQL. Available without server --write (that flag controls database writes only). Existing files require overwrite=true. With multiple workspaces, pass an exact workspace path from list_connections.workspaces; db must belong to it. Query names must be unique across configured workspaces.
