  • list_sheets

    List every sheet in an Excel file with its row/column size. Args: path: path to the .xlsx file.

  • preview_sheet

    Preview the top rows of a sheet as a grid, so you can see the layout before reading. Args: path: path to the .xlsx file. sheet: sheet name (defaults to the first sheet). rows: how many rows to preview.

  • read_table

    Read the actual data table from a sheet as records. Auto-detects the header row (skipping title/notes rows above the table) and forward-fills merged cells, unless you pass an explicit header_row (0-based). Args: path: path to the .xlsx file. sheet: sheet name (defaults to the first sheet). header_row: 0-based header row index; omit to auto-detect.

  • sheet_to_csv

    Read a sheet's table and return it as clean CSV text. Args: path: path to the .xlsx file. sheet: sheet name (defaults to the first sheet). header_row: 0-based header row index; omit to auto-detect.
