  • add_domain

    Attach a custom domain to an app. If the domain's DNS zone is managed by TatNet the record is created automatically; otherwise the domain needs an A record pointing to target_ip. The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically once DNS resolves.

  • ai_models

    List public chat, image or video models and capabilities; media catalogs include current retail prices on ai.tatnet.cloud. No generation or spending.

  • attach_vm_interface

    Attach a separate VPC interface to a stopped VM. VPC must belong to the same account and region. The primary route and floating IP are preserved. Requires vm:update and vpc:write.

  • create_app

    Create an app that deploys from a git repository or a Docker image. Creating an app does not start a build. Idempotent by name: if an app with the same name exists in the project, that app is returned instead of a duplicate.

  • create_s3_bucket

    Create a paid S3 bucket in the selected region. Names are globally unique. Private by default. Existing bucket names produce a conflict; Use an available region.

  • create_vm

    Create a paid virtual machine through the public API. Select an existing image, plan and cluster, and optionally enable daily backups in backup_policy. Backup storage is billed separately by actual compressed usage. Requires vm:create and billing management; do not retry with a different VM name after an uncertain result.

  • delete_env

    Delete an environment variable of an app by name.

  • delete_vm_backup

    Permanently delete a VM backup through the public API. Also permits explicitly deleting abandoned legacy pending placeholders older than seven days with no dispatch or stored result. Recent captures, protected versions and required chain ancestors remain guarded by the API. Requires vm:update.

  • deploy_app

    Start a new build and deploy of a git or Docker-image app: the latest commit of its branch, or commit_sha. For a Docker-image app, image switches the app to that image before the build. Apps deployed from files are not built by this tool.

  • deploy_files

    Publish a website (static site or SSR framework such as Next.js, Vite, Astro) from files: packs them, uploads them and starts a build. Creates the app on first use; with the same project_id and name it redeploys that app. Each deploy replaces the whole project: files not included are not in the new version. Up to 20 MiB, 2000 files. Long-running backend services (APIs, bots, workers) cannot be deployed from files; they need a git repository or a Docker image.

  • detach_vm_interface

    Detach a secondary VPC interface from a stopped VM. Primary and floating-IP interfaces are protected. VM loses connectivity to that VPC. Requires vm:update and vpc:write.

  • get_app

    Get an app: its URL, domains, settings and the latest build.

  • get_balance

    Show the TatNet account balance: money available for paid resources right now, the real balance, bonus credits and whether they are spendable yet. Only the account owner can see it. Topping up is done in the TatNet dashboard, not here.

  • get_build

    Get a build's status. With wait_seconds (up to 45) the answer waits for the build to finish; finished=false means it is still running. On failure it includes the error and the log tail; on success the URL and deploy_state, where only deploy_state=live means the new version serves traffic.

  • get_build_logs

    Read the log of a build (the last lines). For a running build returns what has been printed so far.

  • get_s3_connection_info

    Get the S3 endpoint and connection examples for a region. Credentials are managed separately.

  • get_vm_backup_policy

    Get VM daily backup schedule and actual stored bytes. Requires vm:read.

  • kafka_canary_node_power

    Closed canary start/stop verification for an owned Kafka node. Requires configured canary account and kafka_cluster:update; VM billing continues.

  • kafka_create_cluster

    Create paid dedicated managed Kafka. Dev uses one VM; HA uses three controllers and three brokers. The customer password is returned once; give it to the user and do not log it.

  • kafka_delete_cluster

    Delete dedicated Kafka cluster, all node VMs and all Kafka data.

  • kafka_get_cluster

    Read Kafka status, public and VPC bootstrap servers, SASL settings and CA. No password is returned.

  • kafka_list_clusters

    List dedicated Kafka clusters in a project.

  • kafka_regions

    Available managed Kafka regions, Dev/HA topology and VM plans.

  • kafka_resume_cluster

    Resume Kafka after payment. Billing charges one hour for stopped subscriptions before starting nodes; paid subscriptions are not charged again. Requires kafka_cluster:update.

  • kafka_update_allowlist

    Replace the Kafka public IPv4 CIDR allowlist. Empty closes public access; VPC access remains enabled.

  • list_apps

    List apps with their last build status and deploy_state.

  • list_builds

    List an app's recent builds, newest first.

  • list_domains

    List an app's domains with DNS and certificate status.

  • list_env

    List an app's environment variables. Secret values are never returned.

  • list_s3_regions

    List S3 regions and public endpoints. enabled=false means the region is closed for new buckets.

  • list_vm_backups

    List VM recovery points, compressed sizes, automatic expiry and legacy immutable protection deadlines. Requires vm:read.

  • remove_domain

    Detach a custom domain from an app. The app stops answering on it.

  • rename_vpc

    Rename a private network's display label without changing its subnet, ports, NAT or OVN identifiers. Requires vpc:update.

  • set_env

    Create or update environment variables of an app (by name). Values are stored as secrets unless secret=false.

  • set_vm_backup_policy

    Configure daily VM backups and retention. Storage is billed by compressed bytes held over time. Requires vm:update.

  • whoami

    Show the TatNet account this connection acts as and the projects it can use, with their ids.
