Tools (16)

Read from the source code; the running server may differ. Descriptions are the server’s own words; hidden characters are shown as [U+…].

  • graph_find_endpointFind a Microsoft Graph Endpointread-only

Discover which Microsoft Graph endpoint (and its query params) fits a task — search a curated catalog of the /planner, /groups and /users surface. Use the result with graph_get, or prefer the named curated tool when one exists.

  • graph_getCall any Graph GET Endpoint (planner/groups/users)read-only

Read-only GET for any Microsoft Graph v1.0 path under /planner, /groups or /users (delegated sessions may also use /me). ALWAYS pass select to keep responses small. NOTE: planner collections ignore filter/top server-side. A full @odata.nextLink URL is accepted as path. Discover paths with graph_find_endpoint.

  • planner_create_bucketCreate a Bucket

Create a new bucket (column) in a plan.

  • planner_create_taskCreate a Task

Create a Planner task in a plan. Optionally set the bucket, due date, priority, assignees, labels, and a description.

  • planner_delete_taskDelete a Taskcan change or delete data

Permanently delete a Planner task. This cannot be undone.

  • planner_find_userFind a Userread-only

Find a user by display name or UPN/email to get the user ID needed for task assignments and planner_list_user_tasks.

  • planner_get_planGet a Plan with its Bucketsread-only

Get a Planner plan with its buckets and labels. Bucket IDs are needed to create or move tasks; label names are accepted by the task tools' label fields.

  • planner_get_taskGet a Task with Detailsread-only

Get a Planner task including its description and checklist. Also returns the etags needed by update tools (updates fetch them automatically).

  • planner_list_my_plansList Accessible Plansread-only

List the Planner plans the session's signed-in user has access to — no group ID or guessing needed. On app-only sessions there is no signed-in user: pass user_id (from planner_find_user) to list the plans shared with that user.

  • planner_list_plansList Plans in a Groupread-only

List all Planner plans owned by a Microsoft 365 group. Get the group ID from planner_search_groups.

  • planner_list_tasksList Tasks in a Plan or Bucketread-only

List Planner tasks in a plan (or a single bucket). Optionally filter by assignee user ID or open/completed state.

  • planner_list_user_tasksList a User's Tasksread-only

List all Planner tasks assigned to a user across every plan they participate in. Get the user ID from planner_find_user.

  • planner_search_groupsSearch Microsoft 365 Groupsread-only

Search Microsoft 365 groups (Teams) by display name. Use this first to find the group ID required by planner_list_plans.

  • planner_update_taskUpdate a Task

Update a Planner task: title, bucket (move), due date, priority, progress (not started / in progress / completed), assignees, or labels. Fetches the current etag automatically.

  • planner_update_task_detailsUpdate Task Description or Checklist

Update a task's description, add checklist items, or check/uncheck existing checklist items (item IDs come from planner_get_task).

Show 1 more tools
  • planner_whoamiShow Session Identityread-only

Show who this session acts as: app-only (client credentials, writes attributed to the app) or delegated (acting as the signed-in user, with their id/UPN). Use it to interpret permission errors and to get the user ID for /users/{id}/… paths.
