  • aggregateAggregateread-only

    Count, total, average, min or max over a table, optionally grouped by up to 2 fields, computed in the database. Use this instead of reading all records to answer how many / how much questions. Multi-value fields (multiple select, links, users) count a record once per value. Dates group by day unless bucket is week, month or year.

  • create_automationCreate automation

    Create an automation from a trigger and steps, naming tables and fields. It starts switched off unless enabled is true. Triggers: recordCreated, recordUpdated, recordMatches, schedule, dateReached, webhook, button. Steps run in order: createRecord, updateRecords, findRecords, http, email, branch (one level, with then and else). Templates: {{trigger.record.<Field>}}, {{trigger.record}} (the record, for link fields), {{trigger.body.<path>}} (webhook), {{steps.<id>.records[0].<Field>}}, {{steps.<id>.count}}, {{steps.<id>.status}}, {{steps.<id>.body.<path>}}, {{now}}, {{record.url}}.

    Create a dashboard, optionally with widgets. Widget types: metric (one number), bar, line, pie, pivot (summary table), text (Markdown). Charts group by a field (x for bar and line, group for pie, rows and columns for pivot); date fields are bucketed by month unless bucket says otherwise. metric is what each number is: count, or sum/avg/min/max of a field. Widgets without a position stack below each other on a 12-column grid.

    Create a table. The first field is the primary field and must be a plain type (text, number, date...). Link, lookup, rollup and formula fields may reference fields listed earlier in the same call. Without fields you get Name, Notes and Status.

    Add a grid, kanban, calendar, timeline, gallery or form view with optional filter, sort, hidden fields and type-specific settings (grouping, date fields, lanes, cover).

    Permanently delete a field and its values. Deleting a link field also deletes its inverse.

    Permanently delete 1 to 200 records by id.

    Show every table in a base with its fields (type and options), primary field, row count and views. Call this before reading or writing records so you use the right table and field names.

    Queue AI generation for some records of an AI field, the records never generated (missingOnly), or the whole column. Generation runs in the background; read the records later to see the answers.

    An automation's trigger and steps with table and field names, its webhook URL if it has one, and its last 20 runs.

  • get_dashboardGet dashboardread-only

    A dashboard's widgets with their settings (table and field names) and each widget's current numbers over all time. Widgets with a problem (deleted field, unfinished) say so and carry no data.

    Fetch up to 100 records by id. Long text is cut at 2,000 characters unless fullText is true.

  • update_dashboardUpdate dashboard

    Rename a dashboard and add, change, move or remove widgets. update items name a widget id (from get_dashboard) and only the settings you pass change; position moves or resizes it. Names are checked before anything is written; changes then apply in order: rename, remove, update, add.

  • update_fieldUpdate fieldcan change or delete data

    Rename a field, change its type or options, or set its description. For select fields send the full option list: existing options are kept by name, rename one with { name: new, renameFrom: old }, and options left out are removed from cells. Changing the type converts every cell.

  • update_recordsUpdate records

    Update 1 to 200 records by id. Only the given fields change.

  • update_tableUpdate table

    Rename a table or change its primary field.

  • update_viewUpdate view

    Rename a view or change its filter, sort, hidden fields or type-specific settings. Settings you leave out are kept; null clears one.
